FLAGSTAFF, Arizona. – Bloomington Gold Tours treated hundreds of Corvette enthusiasts to some of America’s most spectacular scenery with their three tours in 2008.
3-day Route 66 Tour
Wil Cooksey led over 100 Corvettes from every generation down historic Route 66 June 5-7. The tour snaked over 100 miles on America’s Mother Road ending in Williams, Arizona, the last Route 66 town to be bypassed. Participants were treated to the wit and humor of National Corvette Museum Chairman, Wil Cooksey, who left enthusiasts wanting more info on the C7. Wil had the crowd rolling in the aisles when he responded by saying, “If I told you anything about the C7, I’d have to kill you.” Wil is going to join the tour again next year.
6-Day Summer Tour
On July 20th, Bloomington Gold Tours saddled up for six days of Colorado Rocky Mountain splendor. Corvette enthusiasts came from all corners of America to experience the ultimate in Corvette camaraderie and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. 5-Day National Park Tour
Bloomington Gold Tours then said goodbye to summer and hello to fall with the National Park Tour that departed Flagstaff September 23rd for five days of touring in the beauty of Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce and Capitol Reef National Parks. The scenery did not disappoint and enthusiasts loved the cruise on Utah’s Highway 12, labeled “the most beautiful drive in America” according to Car & Driver Magazine.
