Tom DuPont, whose St. Petersburg-based Web and print publishing company produces The DuPont Registry, believes the crisis will take a particular toll on the luxury home market.

“You cannot separate Wall Street and the luxury home market,” DuPont said. “There is a lot of wealth created on Wall Street, and obviously, today, there is lot of wealth taken away on Wall Street. When that amount of buying power goes away, that is clearly going to have an effect.”
